Exciting news in March 2014

And cute pictures of Langley! She seems to be the one who stays around the house with me. When she doesn't have to go to nursery school it is a tough job getting this one to nap so right after bath time it is usually lights out for her....not matter where she is. Below she is sitting straight up!
Every Thursday or Friday it seems that Langley would have a slight fever and wouldn't be able to go to nursery school. It's like she always knew that I only had office hours and it was okay for her to tag along with me to work. The kids all love riding the elevator! Below she has packed a bag to keep her busy for a day in the office.
Spring break was cold in Chicago but it was warm in Greenwood.  Below the neighborhood boys are strutting their stuff.

And more important and exciting news for March 2014. Shannon had his change of command and is now the boss and......

We found out that there is another Parker on the way!!!!
We are waiting any day for this sweet new baby girl to arrive! Congratulations Shannon and Sarah! I know where we will be heading for Spring Break 2015!!

March & Spring Break 2014

After such a cold winter most people would think of sun and sand for Spring Break....but not this crew. Coco, the kids and I hopped on the train from Centralia and went to Chicago!! Bennett is giving us a thumbs up that he is ready!
Arrival at Union Station, Chicago, IL.
We headed straight to Uno's Pizzeria for a late lunch. You would have thought we had been traveling for more than 4 hours!
Langley is holding a brochure for Hershey's Chocolate World and couldn't wait to visit. This girl loves chocolate!

We happened to be in Chicago during the warmest period they had had in four months so we walked as much as we could but the kids loved riding in taxis. We visited the Shedd Aquarium,
had lunch at a cool diner,
and of course went to the LEGO store multiple times!
And the children got along amazingly :)
Our last night in town brought a little blanket of snow and the children were happy!
And then it was time to head back to Centralia on the train for a day of rest before driving back home.
The LEGOs continued to be fun entertainment at Coco and Poppa Jack's house.

I wonder what fun we will think of for Spring Break in 2015! The next post might give it away!

Brrrrr February 2014

In looking back it seems that February was a busy month or at least I took a lot of pictures. For Dr. Suess's birthday Bennett dressed as the Cat in the Hat. Also, I was able to attend a couple of the children's Valentine's Day parties.

Parker and her friends at her party.

Clif and I attended Cotton Ball. I think Parker took this picture for us :)
One Saturday we drove down to Jackson to visit with the Gulfport crew since they were in town for a party. As you can see from the pictures they had a great time!

A few of the boys!
Supper time!
Little Diva dressed in a Parker original
The entire state of Mississippi received snow except Greenwood! We did get a little of ice one day so the kids tried to have fun with it.
I couldn't find a picture of Langely so I'm pretty sure she stayed inside. Temperature has to be just right for her to voluntarily venture outdoors.
I was making a baked treat for a party and I needed 32 caramels. Langley gladly volunteered to unwrap them. I'm pretty sure she snuck a few in as a snack. I've very lucky because she is always willing to help out in the kitchen.
Our church held a Mardi Gras party and everyone dressed in purple, gold and green. The man in the back with the striped shirt is Father Greg. He loves to play DJ!

Langley at her school Valentine Day party and at home doing her homework. They love it at this age!
Parker has the Gulfport boys engaged while we visited with them in Jackson.
More posing from Langley.
Crosby and Parker were in town for a birthday costume party and Lauren was the Queen of Hearts.
Sweet sisters playing dance.
This boy loves all things sports and his dad loves to watch him!
Our little sports reporter...
And a tough girl....
And my most favorite window washer!!

Slow times in January 2014

It was cold this winter so we spent a lot of time indoors playing with our new dollhouse. It is still a very popular attraction in our house. I love the reaction from any new visitors about its size. I look forward to one day handing it down :)
Hot cocoa and reading at the local coffee shop and bakery. I wish I had more one on one time with this special girl.
The most beautiful sunset I think I've ever seen and right out my front door.
another...
and another...I was mesmerized!
The temperature must have been mild this day because we are outside without any outer wear.  I just got rid of this tricycle since Langley upgraded to a bike. This was a gift when Parker was just a baby and it was also Bennett's favorite tricycle.
Striking a pose at a princess birthday party.
Father and son at the hunting camp. The lease wasn't renewed and we sure do miss this place!
Up and at 'em early to do a little duck hunting.
More posing....we have finally moved out of this stage. Or at least for the time being.
