Bennett got to go spray cotton with a friend of ours the other day. It was exciting for about an hour and then he was ready to go play!

Parker's 7th Birthday

Happy 7th Birthday Parker!! I can't believe you are 7 already. It feels like just yesterday I was doing all those endless middle of the night baby tasks but not anymore. Now we read, draw and sing together! You are beautiful and we are so proud of you!

You might be wondering what that huge thing is on Parker's cake?? Well it is a bird cage filled with birds. Yep, that's right she wanted a "bird" day! You can never tell with this girl! We weren't planning a party but did have a birthday celebration dinner. We invited the family and a couple of her friends to have dinner with us at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Parker insisted because she wanted the whip cream on her nose......

And she got her wish!

I wonder if she will be more careful of what she wishes for in the future!

The next week Pillow Academy had Grandparent's day for the Kindergarten and Elementary students. Coco and Poppa Jack were in Florida patiently awaiting the birth of JSP2. It was "dress like a rock star" day if you were wondering about Bennett's hair and Parker's outfit.

300 Oaks

300 Oaks was a couple of weeks ago and the whole family participate except for Langley of course. I decided to run the 10K at the last minute and Clif said he would run the 1 mile Fun Run with Parker and Bennett. Below Bennett, Parker and Clif and getting started down the Boulevard.

They didn't train very much so I was worried they would all start off too fast but...

They finished strong with Parker a 12:24

and Bennett with a 12:59 (he is still talking about how hard it was)!

It was a fun weekend and we look forward to next year! Maybe some of y'all will join us!

Welcom Jackie!

 On September 11, 2012 Shannon and Sarah welcomed their newest addition Jack Shannon Parker III lovingly known as Jackie. He weigher 7 lbs 11 0z and was 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great!

Josie was very excited to meet and hold her new baby brother but I hear she isn't so sure about having to share mommy!

We are so happy for them and can't wait to meet our new nephew/cousin Jackie!

Cousins

On Clif and my 11th anniversary we ended up going in different directions. Clif and Bennett ended up at the MSU tailgate and I went shopping in Jackson with the girls. The picture below is from Crissie. Bennett was able to play with Taylor and give Ellis all his hugs!

Dirtbikes & Divas

On August 24th (happy anniversary Shannon and Sarah) we had Bennett's 5th and Langley's 3rd birthday party themed Dirtbikes & Divas. Everyone had a blast swimming and playing. Below is a picture of the adorable invitations that Sarah Largen created for the party. Sorry it is sideways but that always happens when taking a close up picture with my phone. Aren't they precious?

Fortunately for me Cathy is a great cake maker - creating two awesome cakes. Langley's cake was covered with girly items such as a purse & jewels. She just sat and stared at it and only went swimming for a short time before returning to stare at her cake. We thought maybe she wanted to eat it but she wasn't really keen on us cutting it either.

We had a wonderful time and thankfully the rain held off until the next day so Langley worked on her birthday crafts in the garage.
