Here she is! Chubby cheeks and all! This scan is of her face and you can see her right eye & cheek as well as sort of make out her nose and mouth. It is amazing how much these have improved since I was pregnant with Parker. I swear I couldn't ever see what I see now when her scans were done. I just agreed with the technician. I go back to the doctor tomorrow so I will keep everyone posted. We are all a little bit under the weather including me so hopefully all this crud will clear up before baby girl arrives.

Bennett's Birthday Party

We had Bennett's birthday party this past weekend at the house. The weather was beautiful and we were able to open the house to the patio. Below is Bennett's cute train cake that YaYa made. Parker had a hard time keeping her fingers out of it!
All the men and boys were quick to start golfing in the backyard.
Bennett just looked at his cake while everyone sang happy birthday. It was very cute. I will try and upload the video soon. Below is a picture right as he blew out his candles.
Just enjoying his day
Of course it was only a matter of time before he found his gifts and ripped into them!
Take a look at Clif's feet....play golf much? All in all it was a wonderful day for a birthday party. Until Monday morning when Bennett woke up at 5 am with a crusty eye due to pink eye!

First day of Preschool
Parker and Bennett both started a new preschool on Monday. Parker is attending all day and Bennett is attending half days. They were very excited to go but I was very sad to drop them off. You would think that I've been home with them since they were born. Maybe it has something to do with being 37 weeks pregnant. Parker had no trouble but Bennett was a little weepy they said. He kept asking for his bunny so I was instructed to make sure and bring it. It made him feel a little better this morning they said. He also hasn't ever been without Parker so I think that might have a little to do with it. Hopefully, by the end of the week he will be more comfortable. Today, I asked Parker what she liked best about her day and she said "napping". That sounds like something Clif would say! Below are a couple pictures I took Monday morning.

Happy Birthday Bennett!
Yesterday we celebrated Bennett's 2nd birthday. Parker and I kept the church nursery in the morning and Clif took Bennett for a birthday breakfast at the Waffle House. When we all got home we let him open his gift and blow out some candles. He was so excited and went along like he knew exactly what was going on. He is having a birthday party this weekend so he will get to do it all over again but it was fun to capture the real moment.

I finally had the dead Live Oak tree cut down in the backyard. It really opens it up. I'm hoping the neighbor's trees will provide a little shade but either way it definitely looks better. We had it cut down in small sections so we could use it for firewood this winter. It was a mess. After all the branches were cut the man just left. Clif and Bennett had lots of work to do and Bennett couldn't have been more excited! Each evening after work he would put on his gloves just like dad and rack up limbs and load wood into the wheelbarrow. I think he was upset when it was all cleaned up. Now, if he was just old enought to mow and edge the lawn!

Parker had her birthday party last night with her best friend and neighbor Ann Gerard. Yes, it was quite a bit early but I was afraid that there would be too much going on in September with new baby girl and all.
As you can see it was a pool party and the girls were already swimming as the guest arrived
Bennett went ahead and got in too
Parker and Ann Gerard had matching cakes that were beautiful and delicious. There were also some yummy sugar cookies that the Viking Cooking School made for us as party favors. They were shaped as extra large princess crowns and cupcakes (I will post picture later).
The girls enjoying the cake
The Happy Birthday song time. It was so cute when they were singing happy birthday to them because Parker was just smiling and looking around at all the people. She was having a great time!

The guest enjoying themselves
After the party they didn't want to leave each other and I got this great picture of the best friends!
