June activities

June started off with a lot of activities beginning with lunch time at Bankston school. Some days we rode our bike and others we took the golf cart. Usually there were other kids there we knew and these too always found a reason to giggle.
Our local airport had its first annual air show. It was fantastic and the kids had fun playing around in our friends hangar before and after the show. You can see Langley hanging on the rear.
 A few action shots
Langley showing off a new suit (not really new but new to her!)
Already ready for bed after an day/evening of swimming. This must of been one of the mild weather days since Parker is wearing fleece!
This picture makes me laugh out loud!
Just a little dancing on the chairs
Not sure where everyone else was but Parker did a little finger and foot painting al fresco

"oh my" she said and put her hands to her face. Devious look don't you think?
Langley enjoying a rainy day indoor picnic. These days she is always playing with the pretend kitchen whipping up all sorts of food!
More June happenings to come!

Memorial Day Weekend fun!

We had wonderful, quiet weekend at the hunting camp fishing and swimming. Below Langley is getting a little nap in before all the fun begins!
All three of them headed straight for the water
wait, except for Parker who HAD to catch something before she got in!
Bennett not so sure of the lake water just yet.
My big swimmer taking a little break
It seems she wasn't so thrilled with all the picture taking
 But he didn't mind
On Monday we headed over to Clif's parents for some BBQ and family fun!
Langley, Corrine (family friend) and Orla
I borrowed a friends bike carriage and took Langley for a spin. She didn't intentionally dress for a carriage ride but it worked out that way!
 Parker wearing her cat helmet.
It was a wonderful weekend except for the snake sleeping in our bushes!
Hope you all had a safe and happy weekend and took time to remember the reason for the Holiday.

More May Fun!

For Mother's Day I got a new iPhone!! Bennett and Clif did all the work and brought home a new phone! So of course I needed some new pictures!

I was able to attend Parker's last day of school were there basically did nothing and played outside all day. She had PERFECT attendance all year and I didn't want to ruin it!  Although PA doesn't given an award for that Mrs. Barnes sure did! Parker was the only student in her class to come to school every day this school year and Mrs. Barnes gave her a HUGE bag of gummie bears! She is still munching on it today. Below she is having fun with her friend Elise.
On awards day Parker won 5 awards! She was the first student called of the entire Awards Day receiving two Art awards. One was from her teacher and the 2nd was from Water and Soil Conservation Association Poster Contest (She also won $20). She followed that with the Book It award, the Presidential Physical Fitness Award and the Headmaster's List. I was so proud and we are only in 1st grade! I look forward to seeing her on stage in the years to come!
In late May, Bennett had an hour of golf camp every afternoon so the girls and I headed to the Country Club for a little swim. The baby pool is great for new swimmers and Langley re-discovered how much she loves the water!
And we found our new favorite googles! They are pink and purple or favorite colors!
I didn't really listen in on the conversation although I think I should have....
Doesn't Langley looked entertained?
Super soakers are super fun right now!
Ice cream break at the country club while Bennett was at golf camp.
On Mother's day Parker carried the crown for Mary at Mass. We were very proud!

We started off May with Greenwood's annual River to the Rails festival which includes a BBQ contest. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures except the few below. Langley was so excited to get her face painted.
I love this picture because you can tell that she didn't want to smile as big as usual because the dried face paint felt funny....hence the funny smile :)
Langley hadn't been napping much lately so she headed out after lunch time.
Bennett's last day of school was May 2nd!!! And the day after that was Elementary Awards day where he won an art award. In fact, he won first place in the district and the state for the MAIS art contest for his age group.
He was very excited to finally get his blue ribbons!
And this is the winner!
His last day of school was Spring Fling where all classes compete and play games. Below he is sitting with his friend Trace.
Langley's last day of preschool was the following week and they had a fun little party.
And since Bennett was out he got to join in on the 3 year old fun as well!
Langley's program was fantastic! She is great performer. I will post a video soon...

Where did April go?

We had some cold wet weather in April but the children found one weekend to swim and it was freezing! Usually Bennett doesn't like the cold water but I couldn't get him out.
Langley on the other hand didn't get in any further than the steps.
She found a warm spot sitting in the sun.
April also brought Bennett's first visit from the tooth fairy...
And a second visit a week later!

Langley went to the beauty shop to get her Summer bob....I couldn't convince Parker that short hair is better though.
Bennett began his coach pitch league. We are so lucky that Bennett has Sutton as a teamate because he has the cutest little twin brothers that were in Langley's class. They definitely keep each other busy so I can enjoy the game.
We finally managed to find a nice Saturday to visit the hunting camp and do a little fishing.
And on the second cast no less! Of course we had to throw it back.
Parker spent most of her day trying to catch tadpoles with her hands and she managed to snag a few.
Towards the end of the school year for Bennett (his last day was May 2nd!!) he realized not much was going on and didn't want to go. On this day he wasn't feeling all that well and after his doctor's appointment I took him to work with. My little George Constanza sat under my desks coloring pictures most of the day.
Just another cute craft that came home from school. Oh how fast they grow!
Not quite sure what this is. This girl leaves me with some many questions! I'm thinking it was so that the cat could get on the bed without having to jump?
On Uncle Brian's 40th birthday Langley spent hours creating the most "perfect" card! She was very proud.
And that was April in a nutshell! I think May has been a little more exciting....I guess you'll see!
