HELP US OUT!
MVSU is currently applying for a grant from the Home Depot ReTool Your School Grant Program. Through the Office of Sponsored Programs, MVSU has submitted an application for three projects that will physically improve the campus. The first is a $50,000 major grant to upgrade Rogers Auditorium which is used by the Child Development Center for alternate recreation. The second, a minor grant in the amount of $10,000, will add a natural playground at the Child Development Center for safe, timeless, carbon footprint reducing activities. The last proposal submitted was for the $25,000 campus pride Grant. MVSU proposes to plant flower and vegetable gardens at the Child Development Center with the food service department and other green partners to promote early healthy lifestyles. Only one school will receive a major grant of $50,000 and the $25,000 campus pride grant; and 10 schools will receive minor grants of $10,000 each. This award process allows the public to vote on the applications, so your online support is crucial to the success of this request for funding. To vote, go to http://www.retoolyourschool.com/vote-now.aspx.

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve playing with our cousins! Shannon, Sarah, Josie, Crosby, Lauren, Crosby, Cannon and Charlie all came to ring in the New Year! We had a brief period of sunlight so the kids went outside to play. Bennett began riding his bike without training wheels just the day before so he was loving showing off his new skills. We tried to get a picture of everyone and I think this is one of the best.
Parker making Charlie smile.....it doesn't take much. He is a very happy guy!
Josie and Langley playing with Bennett's race track.
Trying to get the perfect photo.
Since Bennett moved up to the bike Langley took over the four wheeler and Josie borrowed our neighbors. They went up and down the street and it was so much fun! I will post more pictures.
Random pictures from the end of last year. Over the Christmas break Parker got very creative and began creating an underwater scene with her pipe cleaners. We decided to tape it all to the couch and it stayed there for awhile.
Langley enjoying some yogurt. Don't you love her painted nails....she is definitely a girly girl!
Most days of the week Parker comes home with multiple cuttings. She calls herself the "master cutter". I'm definitely not going to let her watch Edward Scissorhands! Some of the cuttings are pretty elaborate and very detailed and some are 3D. We have setup the dining room as our art studio and have been doing lots of cutting with construction paper including our Valentine's Day cards. I will post more pictures of her cuttings and some of her new paintings from art class.
Langley the princess!
If you didn't receive a Christmas card I apologize but this was the picture. I just love it! Here they are at age 6, 4 and 2 looking so very sweet!

We had a pretty low key Christmas this year. It was just us and the Barnes' came over for Christmas dinner. Below are just a couple of pictures. Langley enjoying her princess tent.
Parker and Langely getting down with the Wii Just Dance game.
More Wii just dance....this one if for kids only though. Langley loves it and watches Parker the whole time!
